The Deputy Chief Executive (Banking) of the Ghana Export-Import Bank (GEXIM), Moses Klu Mensah, has inspected a GEXIM-funded cashew processing factory in Techiman in the Bono East Region, which is expected to create about 1,500 jobs when fully operational.
The facility, owned by Nadkansco Processing Limited, is scheduled to commence operations by mid-November 2026 and will process raw cashew for export.
According to a Facebook post by the bank on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, the factory is strategically positioned to benefit from easy access to the raw materials required for its operations.
The facility has a daily processing capacity of 100 metric tonnes and is expected to directly employ about 450 workers across three shifts.
With additional indirect employment opportunities expected through its operations and supply chain, the total number of jobs associated with the factory is projected at about 1,500.
Klu Mensah expressed satisfaction with the progress of work during the inspection and highlighted the factory’s potential to boost economic activity and create jobs in the Bono East Region.
