GEXIM BANK CEO HOLDS MAIDEN MEETING WITH STAFF

Ghana EXIM Bank’s Chief Executive Officer, Hon. Sylvester Mensah has taken a significant step in engaging with his team by holding a maiden meeting with staff on Friday, 31st January, 2025, at the bank’s Head Office meeting room at Africa Trade House in Accra.

Hon. Sylvester Mensah introduced himself as a former Member of Parliament and past Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Insurance Authority. A role he held from 2009 to 2015, with over thirty years (30) of varied work experience in both public and private sector.

His introduction was well received by the staff and his leadership and vision are expected to have a positive impact on the bank’s operations and growth.

This meeting marks an important milestone for the bank, as the Chief Executive Officer outlines his vision and strategy for the bank and provided an opportunity to connect with staff and share his plans for the future.

In his address, Hon. Mensah, emphasized the need for increased support to facilitate the bank’s mission of transforming Ghana’s economy into an export-led one.

He highlighted the importance of export development finance, cross-border investment and project exports in driving economic growth and making Ghana competitive in the global market place.

He emphasized the need to refocus GEXIM’S attention on facilitating food production for both consumption and export, agro-processing and stimulate import substation, among others, which should all anchor job creation.

The Chief Executive officer also reiterated that the bank’s efforts are aligned with the government’s quest for a feasible and sustainable export-led economy and encourage all Staff to participate in all deliberations by emphasizing the importance of this interactive session for the bank’s future direction.
